Early Life and Path to Debut (Before 2006)
Maki Hojo rarely discusses her personal life in detail, as privacy is strictly maintained within the AV industry. However, in interviews she has given, she admitted that she had a strong sexual drive from a young age. Her first experience occurred during her third year of high school at a love hotel.
Before entering the industry, she lived an ordinary life as an adult woman working part-time jobs.
In 2006, at the age of 29 (marketed as 32 to better match the “mature” image), she came across an advertisement in a free magazine that read “model recruitment.” She initially believed it was for a regular photoshoot, but it turned out to be for AV. Although hesitant at first, she eventually agreed after discussions with the recruiters.
